Planning trips using personal vehicles is often confusing and time-consuming. Travelers struggle with estimating fuel costs, toll charges, and accommodation expenses. We wanted to build a smart system that simplifies travel planning and promotes eco-friendly tourism.

What it does

Our project is an AI-powered travel planner that helps users estimate total travel cost, optimize routes, and get personalized travel recommendations.

It calculates:

  • Fuel cost based on distance and mileage
  • Toll charges
  • Accommodation expenses

It also suggests optimized routes and eco-friendly travel options.

How we built it

We developed a web-based application using modern technologies.

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React-based structure)
  • Backend: Node.js and Express
  • Database: Firebase and MongoDB
  • APIs: Google Distance Matrix API for route calculation

The system integrates AI-based cost estimation, route optimization, and personalized recommendations.
