Inspiration

Manual attendance systems take time and are prone to errors and proxy attendance. We wanted to create a smarter solution using Artificial Intelligence that automatically records attendance using face recognition technology.

What it does

The AI-Based Attendance System automatically detects and recognizes student faces through a camera and marks attendance in real time. It reduces manual effort, prevents proxy attendance, and saves time for teachers.

How we built it

We built the system using Python and AI face recognition libraries. The system captures images through a camera, detects faces using computer vision techniques, compares them with stored datasets, and records attendance in a database.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges in improving face detection accuracy, handling different lighting conditions, and managing multiple face recognitions at the same time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully developed a working AI system that can detect faces and mark attendance automatically. The system improves efficiency and demonstrates the practical use of AI in education.

What's next for AI Smart Personalized Learning Platform

In the future, we plan to improve accuracy, add cloud storage, integrate mobile apps, and include real-time attendance analytics for better monitoring.
