Inspiration

I’ve always loved sci-fi films, and I wanted to challenge myself to create a trailer showing how AI might take control in a future world. I was also inspired by ideas from the Sci-Fi AI podcast, which pushed me toward this concept.

What it does

The trailer shows a world where the line between humans and code breaks down. It raises questions about control, consent, and what people give up when progress moves faster than caution.

How we built it

I used Midjourney to generate the core visuals and Nano Banana for video. Some shots started as still images that were animated through Nano Banana, Flow, or kept entirely inside Midjourney depending on the look needed. Voice-overs and sound effects were created using ElevenLabs. The music was built with Suno, bringing the trailer together with the right tone and pacing..

Challenges we ran into

Balancing sci-fi style with realism was tough. Another challenge was keeping the narrative tight enough for a short trailer while still making the world feel believable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud of how the trailer tells a clear story in a short runtime. The consistency across scenes and the overall mood came together better than expected.

What we learned

I learned how to structure a compelling trailer and how to focus visual storytelling in a short format. Working across multiple AI tools taught me a lot about each model’s strengths and limits.

What's next for AI Sci-Fi Trailer

Future versions could expand the world, add more cinematic motion, and explore longer narrative sequences. The tools will keep improving, making it easier to push this style even further.
