Inspiration

Many students and job seekers struggle to create ATS-friendly resumes. Even with strong skills and projects, resumes often get rejected due to poor formatting or missing keywords. This inspired us to build an AI-powered solution that provides instant, professional resume feedback.

What it does

AI Resume Analyzer evaluates resumes and provides an ATS score along with improvement suggestions. It analyzes role alignment, technical skills, keyword optimization, formatting, and overall professional impact. Users receive structured feedback in real time.

How we built it

We built the frontend with a clean and simple user interface for resume upload and manual entry. The backend integrates Gemini-powered AI analysis to process resume content and generate structured feedback. Prompt engineering was used to ensure accurate scoring and actionable suggestions.

Challenges we ran into

Designing effective AI prompts for consistent and structured analysis was challenging. We also worked on improving response clarity and ensuring the feedback felt professional and practical.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a working AI resume scoring system during the hackathon. The platform provides real-time analysis and meaningful suggestions that can genuinely help users improve their resumes.

What we learned

We learned how to design better AI prompts, structure intelligent feedback systems, and create user-focused applications under time constraints. We also improved our understanding of ATS systems and resume evaluation.

What's next for AI Resume Analyzer

We plan to add job description matching, resume-to-job scoring, LinkedIn profile analysis, downloadable optimized resumes, and personalized skill-learning recommendations.
