Inspiration
We live in a fragmented media world. People don’t sit through long videos anymore, and ad fatigue is real. But marketers are sitting on years of media assets (behind-the-scenes content, unused takes, B-roll) that are often more engaging than the polished final versions. We wanted to unlock that value and make it easier to turn old footage into fresh content that blends the content and ads together.
How we built it
Frontend Stack: React 19 + TypeScript + Vite for the chat, admin, and video search interfaces Backend Stack: Node.js + Express for file uploads, API proxying, and health monitoring AI Integration: TwelveLabs for scene-level video analysis and GPT-4 for context-aware remix prompts Performance: Streaming, caching, and lazy loading optimizations Deployment: Automated scripts and Docker for scalability The system's strength lies in its semantic video search capabilities - pulling key moments based on relevance, tone, and visual cues - combined with AI-powered content generation for creative prompts and editing briefs. The full-stack architecture with proper separation of concerns makes it both maintainable and production-ready. This is a sophisticated video intelligence platform that bridges the gap between raw video content and AI-generated creative workflows!
Challenges we ran into
Connecting multiple APIs and keeping them in sync across frontend and backend wasn’t easy. Handling large video files while maintaining performance took effort. Getting ChatGPT to deliver structured, context-aware outputs that match creative goals also required some trial and error. But once everything clicked, the workflow started to feel smooth and modular.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re especially proud that the tool doesn’t just surface ad assets—it analyzes all kinds of content, including interviews, product demos, and event footage. That makes it possible to find unexpected connections and repurpose footage in ways that feel organic, not forced. It’s a remix engine built for creativity, not just automation.
What's next for AI Remix Engine: Edit/Genereate Ad Clips from Media Library
We’re planning to integrate AWS tools for automated editing and scaling, add QR code CTAs and dynamic logo overlays, and blend audio layers with ElevenLabs. We also want to expand remix logic to support mood-based filters, multilingual campaigns, and brand-safe defaults. The goal is to make remixing fast, flexible, and collaborative for any creative team.
