The idea for AI Reel Script Generator came from a real and common problem I observed while working in social media management and digital marketing. Many creators and small businesses struggle not with editing, but with what to say in short-form videos. Weak hooks and poor structure often lead to low engagement and wasted effort.

This project aims to solve that problem by using Gemini AI to generate high-retention, short-form video scripts optimized for platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok. The application focuses on creating strong opening hooks, engaging flow, and clear calls-to-action without claiming guaranteed virality.

What I Built

I built a simple web-based application that takes user inputs such as topic, tone, audience, and duration, and then uses the Gemini API to generate ready-to-use reel scripts. The AI output is structured into a hook, main script, and CTA, making it easy for creators to directly use for voice-over narration.

What I Learned

Through this project, I learned how to design effective AI prompts, integrate Gemini models, and align AI outputs with real-world content psychology and audience retention principles.

Challenges

The main challenge was avoiding generic or robotic responses. I solved this by refining prompts to encourage natural, conversational language and retention-focused storytelling.
