Inspiration

I always have a hard time deciding what to make when I am running low on ingredients in the fridge. That inspired me to create an app that uses LLM to generate recipes using the ingredients provided by the user.

What it does

The 'AI Recipe Finder' app accepts the ingredients that the user has on hand and the user's dietary restrictions, then generates a recipe based on that. It also presents the nutritional facts, health benefits, and potential health risks of the ingredients. A section also shows relevant images of the food.

How we built it

I built the app using AWS partyrock.

Challenges we ran into

A couple of times, Partyrock widgets show an error. It seems Partyrock throws an error if you try to load many widgets at the same time. A quick refresh usually fixes the issue.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I think this app is very practical and can be used for day-to-day life. I am proud of creating an app that solves a daily problem.

What we learned

I learned how to use PartyRock and how to link various widgets by feeding the output of one into the other as input.

What's next for AI Recipe Finder

In the future, I would like to add more settings to allow users to customize the recipe based on their preferences.
