Inspiration:

We were inspired by how tough it is for businesses to keep up in today’s fast-moving markets. Traditional market research takes time and usually ends up being more reactive than strategic. So, we imagined an autonomous agent that could do the heavy lifting—constantly tracking market trends in real time and offering actionable insights. The goal? Help businesses stay ahead of the curve and grab opportunities before anyone else does.

How we built it

We built the agent with React to create a smooth, user-friendly interface. At its core, the intelligence comes from integrating the Tavily API, which allows us to pull real-time data from across the web. On top of that, we designed custom logic to process the raw search results—extracting key details, analyzing sentiment, and evaluating potential impact. The result is a system that transforms scattered data into clear, actionable insights and timely alerts.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was making sense of the diverse and often inconsistent data pulled from web searches. Since information isn’t always presented in a standard format, parsing and organizing it effectively took some work. Another key challenge was ensuring the insights and alerts we generated were both accurate and relevant. On top of that, we built a strong error-handling and fallback system to keep everything running smoothly—even when an API call failed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re especially proud of the intelligent alert system we built—it can spot key market shifts and competitor moves in real time. Another major highlight is the ability to generate detailed, downloadable reports on demand. These reports break down complex market data into clear, actionable summaries, giving users exactly what they need to stay ahead.

What we learned

One of the biggest takeaways for us was just how important effective data processing and natural language understanding are when working with unstructured web content. We also learned a lot about integrating external APIs smoothly and building resilient data pipelines to keep everything running without interruptions. Overall, the experience really highlighted how AI can be a powerful tool for driving proactive, strategic decision-making.
