AI Project Evaluation Portal

Inspiration Managing student project registrations, submissions, and evaluations manually can be time-consuming and difficult to track. We wanted to create a centralized platform to make the academic project evaluation process more organized and efficient.

What it does The platform allows students to register projects and upload project documents. Admins can review submissions, approve or reject projects, and assign judges. Judges can evaluate projects and provide marks. Students can track results through a centralized dashboard.

How we built it We developed the frontend using React.js and the backend using Node.js and Express.js. MongoDB Atlas is used to store project and user information. We implemented authentication and role-based access for students, admins, and judges.

Challenges we ran into Integrating the frontend and backend, managing different user roles, handling project file uploads, and maintaining a smooth evaluation workflow were some of the main challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We successfully developed a centralized platform that simplifies student project registration, document submission, and evaluation. We integrated student, admin, and judge roles with secure authentication and a structured workflow. We are proud of building a user-friendly system that improves transparency, organization, and efficiency in academic project management.

What we learned We learned full-stack web development using React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB Atlas. We gained practical experience in frontend-backend integration, REST API development, database management, authentication, role-based access control, and project file uploads. We also improved our teamwork and problem-solving skills.

What's next for AI Project Evaluation Portal In the future, we plan to enhance the portal by integrating AI-based project evaluation support, automated feedback, and project quality analysis. We also aim to add performance analytics, plagiarism detection, email notifications, and cloud deployment to make the platform more intelligent, scalable, and accessible to educational institutions.
