About the Project

WebGuard AI is an AI-powered website security and performance assistant designed to help developers and small business owners detect hidden issues in their websites. The system analyzes website structure, errors, and behavior patterns to identify vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and possible security threats.

Inspiration

This idea came from real-world problems faced by website owners who often do not have the technical expertise to understand why their website is slow, broken, or compromised. Traditional tools only show technical reports, which are difficult for non-technical users to understand.

How I Built It

I developed the concept using my experience in WordPress development and web technologies. The system uses AI (via API integration) to analyze website data and generate simple, human-readable insights and recommendations. I also structured a basic workflow for scanning, analyzing, and reporting issues.

What I Learned

Through this project, I learned how AI can be applied beyond chatbots, especially in real-world problem-solving like cybersecurity and performance optimization. I also improved my understanding of API integration and system design.

Challenges Faced

The main challenge was understanding how to convert technical website data into meaningful insights using AI. Another challenge was designing a system that remains simple for non-technical users while still providing accurate analysis.
