Inspiration
Social media has become an essential part of daily life, but its overuse can lead to burnout, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion. We noticed that many existing tools focus on screen time limits but fail to address the emotional impact of content and engagement patterns. This inspired us to create a solution that not only tracks usage but also provides proactive insights and personalized recommendations to promote healthier digital habits.
What it does
Our AI-powered burnout tracker helps users monitor their social media habits and emotional well-being. It provides:
- Real-time tracking of time spent on social media and engagement patterns.
- Sentiment analysis to assess the emotional impact of content users engage with.
- Proactive notifications reminding users to take breaks when excessive usage is detected.
- Personalized recommendations to encourage healthier digital habits and emotional balance.
- Privacy-focused insights, ensuring transparency and user control over data.
How we built it
Due to time constraints, we created a prototype in Figma to visualize how the app would function. This allowed us to design an intuitive user interface and demonstrate the app's key features.
Challenges we ran into
- Time Constraints: We focused on building a detailed prototype .
- Data Privacy & Ethics: Ensuring user data is collected with explicit consent
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully designed a prototype in Figma showcasing the app’s key features.
What we learned
Throughout this project, we learned how social media affects mental health and the importance of balancing digital engagement. We explored various AI techniques to help users understand their social media habits better. Additionally, we deepened our understanding of ethical AI practices, ensuring transparency, user privacy, and data protection.
