Inspiration
Navigating the modern job market can be overwhelming. Many qualified candidates get filtered out by Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) simply because their resumes aren't optimized with the right keywords and formatting. I wanted to build a tool that bridges this gap and helps job seekers tailor their profiles efficiently.
What it does
AI-Powered Smart Resume Builder analyzes a user's resume against a specific job description, highlights missing key skills, and provides actionable AI-driven suggestions to improve their overall resume impact score.
How we built it
- Backend: Built using Python to handle core logic and text processing.
- Frontend: Designed with a clean, responsive layout using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- AI Integration: Leveraged LLM capabilities to parse content and provide intelligent recommendations.
Challenges we ran into
Handling varied resume file formats (PDF/DOCX) and ensuring the text extraction accurately captured work experience and skills without breaking layout structures was a significant hurdle.
What we learned
Gained deeper insights into prompt engineering, natural language processing for document parsing, and designing intuitive user workflows for productivity tools.
