Challenges we ran into

AcThe Cyber Attack Detection and Prediction System is a machine learning-based solution designed to analyze network traffic data and identify malicious activities.

The system processes cybersecurity datasets containing features such as: Network traffic details Protocol types Source and destination IP information Packet size and connection duration Using supervised machine learning algorithms, the model classifies whether a network activity is normal or an attack. Mathematically, the prediction model can be represented as: Where: = Input features (network data) = Machine learning model = Predicted output (Normal / Attack)

How I Built It

Data Collection & Preprocessing Collected cybersecurity dataset Cleaned missing and inconsistent data Converted categorical values into numerical format Feature Selection Selected important attributes affecting attack detection Model Training Applied machine learning algorithms such as Decision Tree and Random Forest Trained the model on labeled data Evaluation Measured performance using Accuracy and Confusion Matrix
