Inspiration
Many organizations use UiPath bots to automate business processes. When a bot fails, support teams often spend a lot of time checking logs, finding the root cause, and informing the right people. This process is mostly manual and can delay issue resolution.
The idea behind this project was to use Agentic AI to make incident management faster, smarter, and more efficient for RPA operations.
What it does
AI-Powered RPA Incident Management System helps organizations automatically detect and manage bot failures.
The solution:
- Monitors UiPath bot executions
- Detects incidents automatically
- Classifies the incident type
- Analyzes logs to identify the root cause
- Recommends possible solutions
- Notifies the support team
- Supports human review when required
- Tracks incident history for future reference
Current supported incident categories:
- Bot Failure
- Email Failure
How we built it
The solution was built using UiPath's Agentic Automation capabilities.
Main components used:
- UiPath Maestro for workflow orchestration
- UiPath Agent Builder for AI agents
- UiPath Action Center for human review
- UiPath Integration Service for notifications
- UiPath Data Service for incident storage
The workflow starts when a bot failure is detected. AI agents then analyze the incident, identify the cause, suggest a resolution, and notify the support team.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the challenges we faced were:
- Identifying the correct incident category from logs
- Handling different error messages and exceptions
- Designing a workflow that combines AI agents and human review
- Creating meaningful root cause recommendations
- Ensuring the solution remains simple and easy to use
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating a solution that:
- Automates incident detection
- Reduces manual investigation effort
- Provides faster root cause analysis
- Uses multiple AI agents working together
- Demonstrates real-world business value
- Combines AI, automation, and human decision-making in a single workflow
What we learned
Through this project, we learned:
- How to build agentic workflows using UiPath Maestro
- How AI agents can improve operational support processes
- The importance of human-in-the-loop decision making
- Best practices for incident management automation
- How multiple UiPath services can work together to solve business problems
What's next for AI-Powered RPA Incident Management System
Future enhancements include:
- Auto-remediation for common incidents
- ServiceNow integration
- Jira integration
- Predictive incident detection
- Advanced analytics and reporting
- Support for additional incident categories
- Self-healing automation capabilities
Our vision is to build a smarter operations platform that not only detects incidents but also helps prevent them before they impact the business.
