I came up with this project idea from my own personal experience. I applied to several internships and jobs, only to face rejection after rejection — often without any feedback. It left me feeling confused and unsure about what I was doing wrong with my resume. I kept wishing there was someone who could just look at my resume and tell me exactly what needed to change to make it better. That’s when the idea struck — what if an AI could do just that? Something smart enough to analyze my resume, compare it with a job description, and then give me honest, useful feedback. That frustration and wish for guidance inspired me to build this AI-powered resume scanner — a tool I wish I had back then.
I learned about using Gemini API through this project. I explored various models available in Gemini and settled on one that worked well for me. I have created only a simple frontend using flask and HTML.
