Creating a movie involves many steps, from developing an idea and writing a script to creating characters, scenes, and a production plan. We wanted to build an AI-powered assistant that could help creators manage these steps more efficiently. Our goal was to explore how AI agents can collaborate to support the movie-making process.

What it does

CineAgent is an AI-powered movie production assistant. It helps users transform a simple movie idea into a structured project by assisting with story concepts, characters, scenes, dialogue, and production planning.

The system is designed around AI agents that can handle different creative tasks and work together to produce a more complete movie concept.

How we built it

We built the project using an agent-based AI architecture. Different AI agents are responsible for tasks such as story development, character creation, scene planning, and production assistance.

The application uses a simple user interface where a creator can provide an idea and receive structured AI-generated results. We focused on making the workflow simple, interactive, and useful for people who want to experiment with movie creation using AI.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was designing a workflow where multiple AI agents could work together without producing inconsistent results. We also had to think about how to structure the information generated by each agent and make the final output easy for users to understand.

Another challenge was keeping the system flexible enough to handle different types of movie ideas and creative requirements.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a working concept that demonstrates how AI agents can be applied to a creative industry such as filmmaking.

The project combines multiple AI-powered tasks into one workflow instead of requiring users to handle each part separately.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned about AI agent workflows, prompt design, task decomposition, and how multiple AI components can collaborate to solve a larger problem.

We also learned that building an agentic application requires careful planning of inputs, outputs, and communication between different tasks.

In the future, we want to add more advanced features such as AI-generated storyboards, visual scene generation, voice and dialogue generation, automatic screenplay formatting, character consistency, and a complete end-to-end movie production workflow.
