Inspiration

Investors are surrounded by information—market movements, company updates, news, policies, industry trends, and economic changes. The challenge is not finding information, but finding the opportunity hidden between different signals.

We wanted to build a platform that could connect these signals and help users discover emerging investment opportunities before they become obvious.

What it does

Our AI-Powered Investment Opportunity Discovery Platform converts scattered market information into actionable investment insights.

Instead of simply predicting whether a stock will go up or down, it helps users understand:

What changed?
Why does it matter?
What signals are connected?
Which companies or sectors could benefit?
What evidence supports the opportunity?
What risks could invalidate the idea?

The platform follows a Signal → Connection → Emerging Theme → Opportunity → Evidence → Risk approach, helping users make more informed decisions.

How we built it

We built the platform using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with Gemini API / Google AI Studio powering the AI analysis.

Real-world market, company, industry, and news data is collected through APIs. The system identifies important changes, connects related signals, detects emerging themes, and generates understandable explanations.

Our core workflow is:

Collect → Detect → Connect → Discover → Explain → Challenge → Monitor

Firebase is used for authentication and user-specific data, while real-time data sources help keep important information updated.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was making the platform more than a simple AI chatbot or stock recommendation system.

Investment insights need evidence. We had to design the system so that AI explanations were supported by relevant signals while also showing counter-evidence, risks, and what could go wrong.

Another challenge was connecting information from different sources and presenting complex financial relationships in a simple and understandable way.

What we learned

We plan to add more real-time data sources, stronger cross-sector relationship detection, historical backtesting, portfolio-aware opportunity discovery, smarter alerts, multilingual support, and advanced signal visualization.

Our long-term vision is to build an intelligent investment research companion that helps users discover what is emerging, understand why it matters, challenge the opportunity, and monitor it as the market evolves.
