Inspiration
With the surge in online shopping, many brands face high return rates, often due to sizing and fit issues. This project was inspired by the need for a solution that offers customers a more accurate view of how garments would look and fit, ultimately reducing returns, improving sustainability, and enhancing the customer experience.
What it does
Our 3D Virtual Try-On (VTON) now patented by the Government of India, providing users with a realistic virtual fitting experience. Customers can see how clothes fit on their unique body shape, improving shopping confidence. This project supports brands in offering personalized fits, improving conversion rates, and promoting eco-friendly practices by reducing returns.
How we built it
We utilized cutting-edge AI and 3D modeling technologies to create a pipeline that quickly generates realistic human models. By integrating deep learning techniques and 3D graphics, we achieved both accuracy and speed, enabling users to virtually try on garments in a matter of seconds. Our approach combined elements of computer vision, machine learning, and data processing to provide a seamless and efficient experience.
Challenges we ran into
Developing a high-speed model generator while ensuring model accuracy was a significant challenge. Achieving realism in various body shapes and garment fits required extensive tuning. Balancing computational efficiency with high-quality visuals, and tackling technical issues related to rendering and model fidelity, demanded considerable experimentation and iteration.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of creating the world's fastest 3D model generator, which not only meets industry needs for efficiency but also provides an intuitive and high-quality experience for users. Successfully integrating a complex system in a way that feels seamless to users was a notable achievement, as was the improvement in sustainability by helping brands reduce returns.
What we learned
This project taught us a lot about the nuances of human body modeling and AI integration in virtual try-on technology. We gained insights into optimizing for both speed and accuracy and learned best practices for handling complex data while maintaining a user-friendly interface. We also realized the impact of such technologies on consumer behavior and brand loyalty.
What's next for AI Powered 3D Virtual Trial On
We aim to expand personalization by adapting to different skin tones and styles and introducing AR functionalities for real-time try-ons. Exploring eco-friendly data processes and scaling accessibility are also part of our future plans, enhancing this innovative product’s reach and impact.
