Inspiration

I have used the paid Advisor services offered by Vanguard for my IRA, Brokerage investments, this made me explore this solution

What it does

This project provides a web application that allows users to upload their portfolio files (CSV or TXT) and receive an automated portfolio analysis with AI-driven insights. It combines data analytics with Google Vertex AI (Gemini models) to deliver personalized portfolio breakdowns, risk assessments, and smart rebalancing recommendations — all accessible via a simple, interactive web interface.

How we built it

Used AI Studio-Vertex API to generate the code based on my prompt.

Challenges we ran into

Compiling/Building faced timeout issues, tweaks to the ReactJs front end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Initial MVP is performing well with recommendations based on custom portfolio uploaded

What's next for AI Portfolio Analyzer & Advisor

Refine the UI, Format the AI recommendations response, Add capability to download the recommendations, Fine tune upload format, Support file formats XML, XLSX, JSON,OFX,QIF, IIF,QFX, PDF, QBO. Refine the response to be more compact, etc.
