Inspiration

It might be difficult to access government programs, particularly for rural residents with low levels of digital literacy. Language challenges, laborious application procedures, and a lack of awareness cause many eligible people to miss out on important advantages. This gap motivated us to create an AI-powered platform that makes scheme discovery easier, automates verification, and guarantees universal accessibility.

What it does

AI-Pathway simplifies the provision of government services by:

Personalized Scheme Suggestions: AI looks at user profiles to recommend appropriate government programs. Automated Document Verification: The authenticity of documents is guaranteed by OCR technology. Multilingual Support: Provides multilingual accessibility by integrating the Google Translate API. Real-time tracking and support: A chatbot helps users along the way and gives them updates. Voice-Based Interaction: For convenience, it supports regional languages.

How we built it

Frontend: For a responsive and intuitive user experience, utilize React.js. Python (Flask) backend with SQLite for API integrations and data processing. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is used in AI and document verification to compare documents to official records. Chatbot: AI-powered chatbot for immediate support. Multilingual Support: Accessibility is made possible with the Google Translate API.

Challenges we ran into

Data Accessibility: Real-time government data retrieval via APIs is challenging. AI Accuracy: Making sure regional languages are properly represented in OCR and recommendation systems. Security and Compliance: Handling user information while upholding security and privacy guidelines. Creating an intuitive user interface for people who are not tech-savvy is known as user accessibility.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

successfully developed a recommendation system for government programs using AI. For easy document verification, OCR was integrated. made multilingual support possible, increasing accessibility for a range of user demographics. created a functional chatbot to provide users with real-time support.

What we learned

the significance of user-centered design in applications for public services. issues with increasing OCR accuracy and document verification powered by AI. How real-time data retrieval is affected by restrictions on government APIs. The importance of linguistic inclusion on online forums.

What's next for AI-Pathway: Smart Citizen Services

Advanced AI Models: Increasing the precision of recommendation and document verification algorithms. Regional dialects will be added as part of the language support expansion to improve inclusivity. Working together with authorities to provide real-time data access is known as government API integration. Cloud deployment and scalability: improving performance for wider accessibility. Voice Recognition: Using voice-based form submissions to make them more user-friendly for rural users.
