Inspiration

The idea for AI Packaging sprouted from the trending topic of AI Art, paired with the relatively few business use cases currently active in the market. As such, we are thinking about how to get AI Art benefitting people and business owners alike.

We then had the idea of helping small business (e-commerce) owners and individuals to design their packages based on the keywords/ideas they're looking for.

What it does

By using our website, a user can place a search using keywords, and our Open AI API will be used to design the packaging pattern for the user based on the input. We have a list of packing styles that allow users to choose from, shopping bags, wrapping paper, boxes, and more! The special thing about using our website design is that the images and patterns are AI-generated that are completely unique to the users' query, allowing the users to get completely individual designs on the packages for their business. Once the user has chosen the packing style and made the purchase, we will ship the products to them.

How we built it

We used Figma for brainstorming and wireframes. Using Open AI for the AI Art where they provided public API. For the final website, we used Velo by Wix to design the front end.

Challenges we ran into

We were having a hard time embedding the Open AI API into Wix since it was the first hackathon for most of us, and we learned almost everything we ended up using from scratch for this hackathon.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of building a functional website and implementing our idea into a real business use case.

What we learned

We have learned how to work as a team with different backgrounds and gained a plethora of understanding when it comes to website design, API embedding, and 3D vector design.

What's next for AI Packaging

The next step is to do some tests with real customers, allowing us to observe how they interact with the website, to make changes for a better UX experience.
