Inspiration

People are overwhelmed with information and often don’t have time to read multiple news articles. We wanted to create a personalized AI news anchor that delivers quick video news summaries based on any topic a user asks for.

What it does

The app lets users enter a topic prompt (for example: AI startups, world politics, or sports). It gathers the latest news, summarizes it into a short script, and generates a video where an AI news anchor presents the news.

How we built it

We used a news API to fetch recent articles, an AI model to summarize them into a news-style script, and Nova AI to generate the anchor video that reads the script. A simple web interface allows users to input topics and watch the generated news video.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenges were getting relevant news results, creating natural sounding news scripts, and ensuring the AI anchor video generation worked smoothly with dynamic content.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working prototype that can turn any topic into a personalized AI news broadcast within seconds.

What we learned

We learned how to combine news APIs, AI text generation, and AI video tools to build an automated media experience.

What's next for AI News Anchor

We plan to add real-time news updates, multiple AI anchors, voice customization, and mobile support, and allow users to create their own personalized daily news channel. 🚀
