Inspiration
Mental health affects millions worldwide, yet access to care is limited due to cost, stigma, or location. Seeing friends and family struggle inspired us to build a solution that’s accessible, private, and available 24/7, giving anyone tools to manage stress, anxiety, or depression.
What it does
The AI Mental Health Companion:
- Listens to user input (text or voice).
- Detects emotional states such as stress, anxiety, or sadness.
- Offers personalized coping exercises, mindfulness tips, or connects users to professional resources.
- Adapts responses to the user’s emotional pattern for a supportive experience.
How we built it
- Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS
- Backend: Node.js + Express.js
- AI Engine: GPT-based NLP for sentiment and emotion detection
- Deployment: Hosted on Vercel for global access
