Inspiration
In Uzbekistan, the AI Leaders program gives school students free access to 5 Coursera courses. Upon completion, students earn internationally recognized certificates. Education administrators must verify which students have completed their certificates — but the only way was manually checking each student's PINFL one by one at aileaders.uz/auth/login/check. For a school with 3,000+ students, this means 25+ hours of repetitive work. I built this tool to eliminate that pain entirely.
What it does
AI Leaders PINFL Checker automates bulk certificate verification. The educator downloads a student list from erp.maktab.uz, uploads it to the app, pastes a cURL cookie from the AI Leaders site, and clicks Start. The app automatically checks every student's PINFL via the AI Leaders API — detecting whether the student has registered, is enrolled in Coursera courses, or has already earned their certificate. Results are shown live and exported as a ready-to-use Excel report with certificate links and statuses.
How we built it
Built entirely on MeDo.dev as a single-page agent with no backend required. The app parses cURL cookies extracted from browser DevTools for authentication, reads Excel files exported from erp.maktab.uz using SheetJS, sends sequential API requests with 3.5s delays to respect rate limits, recursively scans JSON responses to detect Coursera certificate links, and auto-generates a multi-sheet Excel report with per-school statistics and a summary sheet.
Challenges we ran into
- AI Leaders API has no official documentation — reverse engineered from browser DevTools
- Cookie-based authentication expires mid-session, requiring graceful error handling
- Rate limiting (429 errors) required retry logic with 20s cooldown
- Excel files from erp.maktab.uz have an unusual structure (header at row 6, data from row 7)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Reduced 25+ hours of manual work to under 5 minutes
- 100% working agent tested on 3,000+ real students
- Zero backend required — runs entirely in the browser
- Already actively used by school and preschool education staff and methodologists across the entire Republic of Uzbekistan
What we learned
Reverse engineering undocumented APIs, handling rate limits gracefully, and how no-code platforms like MeDo.dev can solve real-world problems faster than traditional development.
