Inspiration

Many students and job seekers struggle with technical interviews because they lack a platform that combines communication practice and coding preparation in one place. We wanted to create a smart AI-powered system that helps users improve both interview confidence and coding skills through real-time feedback and practice challenges.

What it does

AI Interview & Coding Arena is an AI-powered interview preparation platform that simulates real interview experiences and coding assessments.

The platform allows users to:

  • Practice HR and technical interviews
  • Receive AI-generated feedback on answers
  • Detect confidence and nervousness patterns
  • Improve answers using AI suggestions
  • Solve coding problems in multiple programming languages including Java, Python, and C++
  • Participate in timed coding challenges
  • Receive code analysis and performance insights

How we built it

We designed the project using a prompt-driven development approach with MeDo AI.

The platform includes:

  • AI Interview Simulator
  • Coding Arena
  • Timed Coding Challenges
  • AI Feedback and Analysis System

We implemented:

  • Chat-based interview workflow
  • Role-based question generation
  • Scoring logic for confidence, clarity, relevance, and structure
  • Coding challenge categories like Arrays, Strings, Stack, Queue, Trees, and Dynamic Programming
  • Multi-language coding support
  • Timed challenge system with performance tracking

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was designing realistic interview analysis logic while keeping the system lightweight and scalable.

We also faced challenges in:

  • Structuring AI-generated feedback properly
  • Designing a smooth interview flow
  • Creating scalable coding challenge categories
  • Managing feature expansion within limited hackathon resources and credits
  • Balancing UI simplicity with advanced functionality
