Inspiration
We noticed that traditional interviews often focus only on what a candidate says, not how they say it. Important behavioral cues like confidence, hesitation, and communication style are usually overlooked or judged subjectively. This inspired us to build Truth Lens, a platform that brings objectivity and deeper insight into interview analysis using AI.
What it does
Truth Lens is a web-based AI tool that analyzes a candidate’s behavior during interviews. It evaluates voice tone, speech patterns, response timing, and confidence levels to provide meaningful feedback. The platform helps candidates improve their interview skills while giving recruiters a more data-driven understanding of each candidate’s personality and communication effectiveness.
How we built it
We built Truth Lens using a modern web stack with a focus on performance and scalability. The frontend is developed using React.js and styled with Tailwind CSS for a clean and responsive UI. On the backend, we integrated AI models for speech-to-text and behavioral analysis. APIs handle interview sessions, analysis routes, and data processing, while real-time insights are generated using optimized Python-based models.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was accurately interpreting behavioral signals like confidence and hesitation from voice data. Ensuring real-time processing without lag was also difficult. Additionally, integrating multiple AI components—such as speech recognition and analysis—into a seamless workflow required careful optimization and debugging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created a system that goes beyond traditional interview tools by focusing on behavioral intelligence. The ability to generate real-time, actionable feedback is a major achievement. We’re also proud of building a user-friendly interface that makes complex AI insights easy to understand.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned how to integrate AI models into real-world applications, optimize backend performance, and design intuitive user experiences. We also gained a deeper understanding of how behavioral analysis works and the challenges involved in making it reliable.
What's next for AI Interview BOT
We plan to enhance Truth Lens by adding facial expression analysis, emotion detection, and personalized improvement plans. We also aim to integrate it with recruitment platforms and expand its capabilities to support mock interviews, detailed reports, and multilingual analysis for a broader audience.
