Inspiration
The inspiration for AI Hub came from conversations with friends who, when asked about AI, would simply say, "I tell it what to do, and it does it." This mindset made me realize how many people view AI as a magic box rather than a revolutionary tool shaped by human input and understanding. Through AI Hub, I aim to change this attitude—fueling curiosity and empowering users to grasp how AI truly works. By teaching foundational concepts and prompt engineering, we ensure users don’t just rely on AI for tasks like writing essays but also utilize its full potential, using it efficiently and innovatively. Thus I created an AI Hub to bridge the gap between everyday users and the fast-evolving world of AI. With AI tools becoming essential in various fields, I wanted to create an accessible platform to educate, update, and empower users to utilize AI's potential. Not only that but from the start I specified the target audience to be, all AI users. This is to acknowledge the issue in today’s world that everyone is constantly using AI to expedite their daily tasks and lighten workload.
Also this website helps make one of my favorite quotes a reality—Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang wisely said, “AI won’t take your job; the person who uses AI will take your job.” As it encourages users to use AI responsibly and effectively to further enhance not only the field of AI but everything.
What it does
A one-stop resource for AI enthusiasts. It features:
- AI tutorials for beginners.
- Latest news and developments in AI.
- A blog covering ethical debates, innovative applications, and prompt engineering techniques to maximize AI tool efficiency.
How we built it
I used, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. Netlify as a hosting service. And an overall responsive design to ensure compatibility across devices.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges were designing a visually engaging yet functional website, and simplifying complex AI concepts for a non-technical audience. I also ran into issues while incorporating an interactive game. Which is why I am going to continue to explore my options to put interesting and interactive AI themed games/challenges in the website.(to replace the current “Game Placeholder”).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Some accomplishments are successfully creating a captivating UI to teach about AI. Making AI concepts and resources accessible and user-friendly. Also blogs about current AI topics, to keep users updated and also gives users an option to add their own insights. I am also proud of the creative ways to teach AI. With a plethora of compiled videos, resources and quizzes. Also we give opportunities to other users to showcase their own AI-related projects.
What we learned
I learned more about user-centric design in making content and the platform engaging. I also got a chance to practice html/css/js. I also created new designs like a glitch effect on title and glow effects in multiple places. Using keyframes I even animated many components of my website to enhance the look/feel of the website. Through my experience, I realized that anyone can create a website, but to create a website that engages and teaches at the same time is what I started out to do.
What's next for AI Hub
Future plans for AI Hub include integrating Google OAuth for personalized user experiences, such as progress tracking and tailored tutorials through an AI recommendation engine. We aim to expand with interactive features like AI challenges, live Q&A sessions, and exclusive insights from collaborations with AI experts and organizations. For example, I would be collaborating with AI experts and famous organizations to deliver insightful demos and events which can be hosted through my website for all users. Some of my other future plans include backend integration for user accounts, increased content, and a chatbot. By increasing content we plan to make some of it ‘premium content’ and monetize it. For example, by purchasing premium content, users can participate in challenges, explore more advanced topics and more. I will also continue to add more content, quizzes, games, and blogs.
