Problem Statement Rural communities often face limited access to quality healthcare due to a shortage of doctors, long travel distances to hospitals, and delayed medical follow-ups. Communication barriers, especially in regional languages, further contribute to misdiagnosis and inefficiency. This leads to poor health outcomes, unnecessary expenses, and additional stress on already overburdened healthcare systems.

Proposed Solution We propose an AI-powered Healthcare Assistant designed specifically for rural communities. This mobile application listens to patients in their own language, understands their symptoms, and generates a structured medical report that can be shared with doctors. By leveraging Whisper ASR for multilingual voice-to-text and Hugging Face BioBERT for medical text understanding, the system ensures clarity and accuracy in capturing patient information. A FastAPI backend with MySQL manages data securely, while a React-based mobile frontend provides a simple and accessible interface for users with low technical literacy.

Unlike typical health apps, our solution functions as a smart bridge between patients and doctors, reducing consultation time, minimizing miscommunication, and enabling doctors to focus on treatment rather than history-taking. This approach makes healthcare faster, clearer, and more accessible for underserved communities.
