Actual events with corona virus pandemic
What it does
The solution for this global issue, is the prevention of the major spreading of the virus. To achieve this, we have developed a software product for forecasting the spreading of the disease by using AI and ML.
How I built it
Using Power BI framework
Challenges I ran into
Getting datasets with following details
- Daily tests by date, country, state/province, city, gender or age
- Daily Confirmed by state/province, city, gender or age
- Daily Death by state/province, city, gender, age or hospital
- Serious and Critical Cases by date, hospital, country, state/province, city, gender or age
By having these details we can forecast spreading of the virus on e particular region, or city of a country.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We developed a prototype to forecast the number of new infections, recovered, and death cases with corona virus. With the information that this software will produce, the institutions will be oriented on focusing on regions which risk to be more exposed to infection, and they will be more prepared on taking precautions in treating, distribution of medical materials and human resources.
What I learned
Using this product will help the governmental or health institutions through forecasting on better planning of the resources in order of controlling and managing the major spreading of the virus.
What's next for AI Forecasting
This software will be valuable in many ways, but most importantly it will continue to provide the governmental institutions, health organizations, nongovernmental organizations with valuable information that they can use to do further analysis about the future consequences that the isolation and Covid-19 situation may have caused to the society and the market economy. Also, this product can be further developed so that it can be used in forecasting other aspects of life, like in education, healthcare etc.
