Inspiration

Artificial Intelligence is transforming industries and daily life at an unprecedented pace, but ethical oversight has not kept up. I was inspired by the urgent need to ensure AI systems are fair, transparent, and responsible. Observing real-world cases of bias and opaque AI decisions, I wanted to create a tool that helps both developers and organizations uphold ethical standards without requiring deep technical expertise.

What it does

The AI Ethics Dashboard & Compliance Tool is a web and mobile platform that automatically evaluates AI models for:

  • Bias and discrimination in model outputs
  • Data ethics and consent compliance
  • Explainability of model decisions
  • Overall ethical risk scoring

It provides a clear, interactive dashboard with visual indicators, generates comprehensive reports, and offers actionable recommendations. Users can monitor AI ethics in real-time and take corrective actions, ensuring their AI systems are trustworthy and compliant.

How we built it

  • Frontend: React.js for dynamic dashboards and mobile-friendly interfaces
  • Backend: Firebase or Node.js to handle simulated AI model connections and scoring algorithms
  • Mockups & Flowcharts: Designed in Figma to visualize dashboards and workflows
  • Prototype: Simulated AI models demonstrate bias detection, transparency metrics, and ethical compliance scoring

The platform integrates multiple ethical evaluation components in one accessible tool, allowing both technical and non-technical users to engage with AI ethics seamlessly.

Challenges we ran into

  • Representing complex AI ethics concepts in an intuitive dashboard
