AI Boosted Job Performance Reviews

Inspiration and What it does

Employ Coda.io and the AI Assistant to enhance the depth and clarity of employee job performance reviews and recommendation letters, while conveniently organizing them by employee for easy retrieval and analysis.

This doc was inspired by the need for an efficient tool to aid small businesses like ours in these important tasks. It addresses my challenges in crafting meaningful and impactful job performance reviews and letters of recommendation for our small business staff.

With Coda AI as my assistant, I improve my efficiency, produce higher-quality reviews and letters, and save valuable time.

My Challenges

It took some finesse to write prompts that resulted in consistently high quality results. The ability to rewrite the AI Blocks multiple times is useful, if the first and subsequent results are not sufficient.

It was also a challenge to structure the review hub table so that the AI could reference the current and past reviews when writing a letter of recommendation.

What's Next

Users can add the Slack Pack, Gmail Pack or a notification button for more options to share the performance reviews and letters of recommendation. Currently, you can save the reviews and letters to pdf and print the reports or you can use the copy button to then paste the report to your letterhead.

Also, consider adding job performance observations to the review template throughout the year. The AI will thus have more accurate and complete information from which to create a final product.

Finally, you can separate the job performance review template and use it separately and do the same with the Letters of Recommendation page (with some required tweaking of the prompt). Coda.io is so versatile and can be tailored to suit your specific business.
