Inspiration Millions of amputees struggle every day to perform basic activities like eating, writing, or even holding a loved one’s hand. Existing prosthetic arms are often expensive, uncomfortable, and difficult to use, leaving many people dependent on others. This inspired us to create a solution that restores independence and dignity.
What it does Our prosthetic arm helps users regain control of their daily lives in a simple and natural way. Enables independent daily activities Provides quick and reliable response Comfortable and easy to use Improves confidence and quality of life How we built it
We focused on creating a user-centered design based on real needs. Designed for comfort and usability Lightweight and practical for daily use Focused on reliability and consistency Built with affordability in mind
Challenges we ran into Understanding real user expectations Ensuring comfort during long-term use Reducing unwanted or incorrect movements Balancing simplicity with performance
Accomplishments that we're proud of Successfully developed a working prototype Achieved smooth and reliable movement control Conducted real-time testing with users Received positive feedback on usability and comfort Built a solution focused on real-world impact
What we learned Real user feedback is crucial for improvement Simplicity creates better usability Designing for humans requires empathy and testing Iterative development improves outcomes
