Inspiration

Women frequently confront gender inequity; thus, they are unable to reveal their talents to everyone and struggle to demonstrate their real potential. Our product is designed to assist them in obtaining their desired employment by overcoming gender gaps and inequalities and offering targeted professional resumes.

What It Does

It streamlines the resume-creation procedure. All users have to do is enter their information into our web application, and after it is complete, they may produce a PDF and download it to their device. We feel the tool will be valuable to people looking to create a completely responsive professional resume.

How We Built It

We built this program with Python's strong libraries, such as FPDF and others. The frontend was built using Python's Streamlit, resulting in an easy-to-use and stylish interface for obtaining visually attractive personalized resumes. FPDF was responsible for PDF production. Finally we deployed our application on Hugging Face Spaces, ensuring user quality over quantity.

Challenges we ran into

One of the significant issues we had while developing this tool was to implement appealing design directly using the FPDF pdf production tool. We had to run numerous tests just to ensure the FPDF design is actually working in variance with different lengths of texts.

We are delighted that the tool may help job-seeking women by giving them a professionally presentable resume that allows them to be totally honest and stand out in the workplace.

What we learned

I recognized the vital necessity to create a user-friendly solution that may have an influence in the workplace. Then we gained extensive experience mixing frontend and backend technologies, namely with Streamlit and FPDF for PDF production. Deploying our application on Hugging Face Spaces emphasized the need of maximizing performance while still offering a nice, scalable user experience.

Our next step is to enhance customization options by introducing multiple resume templates that users can choose from. Each template will have distinct layouts, catering to diverse professional needs. Additionally, we plan to offer theme options for the templates, allowing users to select between light (white) and dark themes, ensuring both aesthetic variety and personal preference. This will empower users to create resumes that align perfectly with their unique styles and career goals.
