Inspiration

We know that every student learns differently. Some students understand concepts quickly, while others need more time and practice. We wanted to create a platform that helps students learn at their own pace instead of following the same learning method. This idea inspired us to build the AI-Driven Individualized Learning Journey Generator.

What it does

Our platform helps students create a personalized learning roadmap based on their learning needs. It provides topic-wise learning content, assessments, and progress tracking. It also helps learners identify their weak areas and focus on topics where they need more practice.

How we built it

We used React and Vite to develop the frontend, Python and FastAPI for the backend, and PostgreSQL to store user details and learning progress. We integrated the Gemini API to support AI-powered learning content and assistance. We worked on connecting these technologies to make learning more organized and interactive.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was connecting the frontend, backend, and database correctly. We also faced difficulties while integrating the AI API and generating useful content for different topics without repetitive explanations. Debugging errors and testing each feature helped us understand how the different parts of the application work together.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of turning our idea into a working learning platform. We brought together frontend development, backend APIs, database management, and AI integration in one project. We are also proud that our project focuses on a real problem faced by students and aims to make learning more personalized.

What we learned

We gained practical experience in full-stack development, API integration, database management, and debugging. We also learned that building an AI-powered application requires more than connecting an AI API. The content must be useful, relevant, and understandable for learners.

In the future, we want to improve the quality of generated learning content and make recommendations more responsive to each student's performance. We also plan to expand the assessment question bank, improve weak-area practice, and provide better progress insights. Our goal is to help students learn with more confidence and achieve their learning goals at their own pace.
