Inspiration

Many students lack opportunities to practice debating and improve communication skills. We built AI Debate Partner to provide an interactive platform where users can debate anytime with AI assistance.

What it does

AI Debate Partner enables users to debate against an AI opponent, receive intelligent counterarguments, and get instant feedback on their performance.

How we built it

We developed the platform using Spring Boot, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Google Gemini API. Voice interaction is supported through Web Speech API.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating AI responses in real time, managing API security, and maintaining smooth debate interactions were our biggest challenges.

What we learned

We gained experience in AI integration, Spring Boot development, database management, API security, and full-stack application development.

What's next

We plan to add multiplayer debates, advanced AI judging, leaderboards, analytics, and multilingual support.
