Inspiration

Our inspiration came from real struggles faced by freelancers, small agencies, and solopreneurs — wasting hours juggling multiple tools for quotes, invoices, payments, and endless client follow-ups. We wanted to build an all-in-one solution where clients can self-serve, view and pay invoices, and get AI-powered support — so business owners get paid faster and focus on growth instead of paperwork. Bolt.new and Supabase gave us the perfect no-code + backend stack to make this vision real, fast.

What it does

It’s a smart CRM that combines invoicing, automation, and AI-driven insights to help you manage clients, get paid faster, and grow your business efficiently.

How we built it

We built our AI-powered Client Portal & Invoicing CRM using: Bolt.new — for rapid no-code/low-code frontend, visual database schema, user authentication, and AI Actions integration. Supabase— for scalable backend services, real-time Postgres database, secure user auth, and API management. React — for building a responsive, dynamic client portal user interface. PostgreSQL— as our relational database engine, managed via Supabase for robust data integrity. Stripe : to enable secure payment collection (or your chosen payment gateway). This stack helped us go from concept to functional prototype in days — not months!

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was designing a secure, real-time database structure that links clients, quotes, invoices, and payments while ensuring smooth user authentication. Integrating Bolt.new’s visual front-end with Supabase’s robust backend required careful planning of API calls, permission rules, and real-time sync. Another challenge was designing the AI assistant to provide smart responses without overwhelming the user — we had to balance automation with clarity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that we successfully deployed a fully functional, Supabase-integrated AI-powered Client Portal & Invoicing CRM — giving users a beautiful, frictionless experience. Business owners can now generate quotes, send invoices, accept payments, and offer clients a 24/7 AI assistant — all under one secure portal. This means modern financial management is finally accessible to everyone — saving time, boosting cash flow, and keeping clients happy. That’s impact we’re proud of!

What we learned

We learned how powerful no-code and low-code tools can be when combined thoughtfully. Bolt.new gave us rapid front-end development and easy AI Actions, while Supabase handled authentication, relational data, and real-time sync seamlessly. We also learned the importance of user-centric design — simplifying complex workflows into a clean, self-service portal that clients actually enjoy using.

What's next for AI CRM-SMART BUSINESS HUB

Next, we plan to refine the AI assistant with more advanced invoice forecasting, expense tracking, and smart payment reminders. We’re also looking to add multi-currency support, integrations with payment gateways like Stripe, and a mobile-first experience to reach more freelancers and small businesses globally. And of course — we want to keep expanding what we build with Bolt.new and Supabase, taking this from MVP to a full-fledged SaaS product!
