💡 Inspiration
This project is an original story by me. I was inspired by classic crime thrillers and the idea of a hero with a secret. I wanted to see a cute animal (a Panda) become a dark, complex anti-hero fighting corruption. The film asks: When justice fails, does a journalist have the right to become a murderer for a good cause? My main goal was to push {AI}tools to tell this serious story cinematically.
🧐 What it does
"AI Crime Files" is a 2 minute 35 second short film that sets the stage for a larger crime saga. It shows the main character, the Panda Reporter, living a double life—reporting the news while secretly punishing rapists and murderers in a final, brutal way. It's a dark, stylized look at a world where only extreme measures bring justice.
🛠️ How we built it
This film was created using a multi-tool pipeline entirely on an Android mobile device:
- AI Video Generation: We used Google Veo and Gemini Text-to-Videoand Image-to-Video to create the core cinematic scenes (flooded city, action shots).
- Visual Assets: Images and concepts were generated using Nano and SeedDream.
- Audio: The voiceovers and {Sfx were created using ElevenLabs.
- Post-Production: All final editing, color grading, and adding subtitles were done in CapCut. 5: using Polo ai for lypsing and image generation ( nano banana) (seeddream ) ## 🚧 Challenges we ran into
- Mobile Limitations: The biggest challenge was creating a project this complex using only a mobile phone, which caused {export} {failures} and slow processing.
- Character Consistency: It was very hard to make the {Panda Reporter} look the same (same jacket, same mask) across all the different {AI} video clips. This required very specific ${prompt}{engineering}
🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Completing the Project: Successfully producing a full {2:35} min cinematic short film from start to finish on a mobile device.
- Multi-Tool Integration: We successfully blended {Google Veo} {Gemini} {Eleven lab} or {CapCut} to create a professional, cohesive look.
💡 What we learned
We learned that {prompt} {engineering} is critical for character consistency, and we mastered the mobile {editing} {workflow} needed to handle {large} {AI}-generated {files} We now understand how to overcome most mobile limitations for {AI} film-making.
