Inspiration
Content creators spend more time writing metadata, researching algorithms, adapting content across platforms, and designing thumbnails than actually creating videos. We wanted to build a single command center that takes a raw video file and instantly produces high-converting, platform-tailored assets for every major social network in seconds.
What it does
AI Creator Studio is an end-to-end serverless automation engine that eliminates distribution friction:
- Multi-Channel Metadata Adaptation: Automatically extracts context from uploaded videos to generate YouTube SEO titles, descriptions, and timestamps; punchy hooks and viral tags for TikTok; and captions with accessibility-first Alt Text for Instagram.
- High-CTR Thumbnail Engine: Synthesizes professional, high-contrast thumbnails with coherent typography and platform-native styling directly from the video's core theme.
- Instant Workflow: Offers one-click clipboard copying for all metadata and direct high-resolution asset downloads. ## How I built it
- Frontend: Built with React, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS for a responsive, dark-mode glassmorphic interface, deployed on Vercel.
- Edge Backend: Built on Cloudflare Workers (serverless V8 JavaScript runtime), eliminating cold starts and routing requests globally with sub-second latency.
- Multimodal Intelligence: Powered by Google Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite to process video payloads and return structured JSON metadata.
- Thumbnail Generation: Powered by Hugging Face Inference API to render crisp visual assets with legible, stylized typography.
Challenges I ran into
- Eliminating Cold Starts: Initial deployments on containerized hosting suffered from 50-second idle wake-up times. We completely re-architected the backend from Python FastAPI to JavaScript Cloudflare Workers to achieve instant edge execution.
- Decoupling Latency: Heavy diffusion models take longer than text analysis. We decoupled the Gemini metadata generation and Hugging Face thumbnail pipelines to render titles, chapters, and tags immediately while the image streams in parallel.
- Payload Management: Migrated from base64 WebSocket overhead to optimized REST FormData streams to handle video uploads efficiently within serverless limits.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Zero Cold-Start Architecture: Achieving a 100% serverless deployment that boots instantly regardless of idle periods.
- Coherent In-Image Typography: Delivering AI-generated thumbnails with legible, styled typography that match top creator aesthetics.
- Platform-Native Nuance: Tailoring outputs specifically per platform (e.g., precise 0:00 video chapters for YouTube vs. accessibility Alt-text for Instagram) rather than generic text dumps.
What we learned

- Prompt engineering techniques for multimodal video reasoning to extract structured JSON and precise timestamps.

- AI-driven automated video clipping to extract 30-second vertical Shorts/Reels from long-form content.
- Custom creator style profiles with brand color palettes and face-swapping capabilities.
