Ai Compliance Whisperer

About the Project AI Compliance Whisperer is a small tool I built during the @boltdotnew hackathon. The idea is simple: upload a long legal or HR doc, and it gives you a quick bullet summary plus a realistic voice narration. You also get a shareable link for your team. It’s meant for people who deal with long internal docs — compliance policies, onboarding guides, etc. Basically, the stuff no one actually reads.

💡 Why I Built It I’ve worked on teams where internal docs were a nightmare — 40–60 pages of legal or policy stuff that people are expected to read but obviously don’t. I wanted to see if I could build something that makes those docs easier to understand and quicker to digest. Bullet summaries + AI voice felt like a fun (and useful) way to do it.

🧠 What I Learned Building fast with Bolt is super fun — it forces you to focus only on what matters. Voice makes a huge difference — even boring content feels more engaging when you hear it. Summarization is tricky. You can’t just throw the whole doc at an API and hope for magic. Getting file upload, storage, and sharing to work cleanly took more effort than expected.

🧱 Challenges Long PDF files were painful — had to break them down cleanly. Making the voice sound natural and not robotic. Keeping the UI simple but still flexible enough for docs of all types. Dealing with latency from multiple services (summarizing, voice, file uploads). And of course… finishing everything before the hackathon ended 😅
