Inspiration

We noticed a gap in the online education space: while platforms like Udemy are widely used, they often feel bloated, outdated, and generic—especially for fast-evolving fields like AI. As learners ourselves, we wanted something sharper, faster, and more personalized. As builders, we wanted to empower creators with a platform that respects their time and effort. That’s how AI Academy was born—a smarter, leaner, and more human way to learn and teach AI.

What it does

AI Academy is a modern, AI-powered course-selling platform built to help educators monetize their knowledge and learners master real-world skills faster. With a curated marketplace of AI, coding, and tech courses, AI Academy enhances traditional e-learning by offering personalized learning paths, project-based evaluations, and interactive AI assistants for on-demand help.

How we built it

We built AI Academy using Next.js and Reactfor a fast, scalable frontend, integrated with Supabase for real-time data and user authentication. Stripe powers our secure payment system, and Bolt as help deliver personalized learning suggestions and AI-powered tutoring. The platform is fully responsive, making it accessible across all devices.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing personalization with performance Designing a clean, intuitive UI while accommodating a wide range of educator and learner needs. Handling secure payments and instructor payouts across different countries.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Seamless onboarding for both learners and instructors. Real-time AI chatbot integrated into every course. A sleek course builder that lets instructors launch in under 10 minutes. Our first paid user signed up during testing!

What we learned

Building for both creators and learners means prioritizing flexibility without compromising usability. AI is powerful, but must be carefully scoped to provide value without overwhelming users. Community feedback is invaluable—we iterated the platform heavily based on real user insights.

What's next for Ai Academy

Launching a marketplace for mini-projects and capstones to make learning hands-on. Adding peer-reviewed certificates and instructor analytics. Partnering with universities and AI startups to provide verified micro-credentials. Building a community space to connect students with mentors and job opportunities.
