AI Classical Collab

Using the AI application AIVA, I've created an emotional piece of classical symphony. The program uses AI to develop melodies given a dynamic concept.

Inspiration

I've played violin ever since I was 8 years old. I've played professionally and I've played for fun. Additionally, I've studied Computer Science since high school. Both have been huge parts of my life but mutually exclusive. Music has always been a passion of mine and ever since I've seen the way AI art has saturated the next wave of media, I've always wanted to incorporate both of my interests.

How we built it

I ran the AI algorithm to create the melodies and manipulated solo instruments and re-ran the application to smoothen the sound.

Challenges we ran into

Manipulating the individual notes was extremely tedious and it was very time-consuming. In addition, since the application is fairly new it wasn't super easy to use.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing the song is the biggest accomplishment.

Making more music with AI software.
