InspirationInspired by the growing gap in civic knowledge and awareness, especially among youth, we developed a Civics AI Chatbot to make learning about rights, duties, elections, and governance accessible and engaging.

What it does

Using OpenAI’s GPT-4 API and Google Dialogflow, the chatbot answers civic-related queries, offers quizzes, and provides fact-checked information sourced from official government portals.

How we built it

We built the frontend with web designing, backend using Flask and deployed the bot on Telegram and the web.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was ensuring accuracy in legal topics and tailoring explanations to different education levels.

Throughout the process, we learned how to handle AI bias, design user-friendly conversational flows, and manage varying levels of user understanding. .

What's next for AI chatbot intelli power human support

The next step for AI chatbots is to become more context-aware, emotionally intelligent, and personalized. They will assist humans by handling routine tasks while seamlessly escalating complex issues to live agents. With voice, multilingual, and ethical AI integration, they will enhance trust and accessibility across sectors.
