Inspiration

People struggle to find quick and reliable medical information, so we built a chatbot to provide instant health guidance

What it does

It helps users identify symptoms, answers medical and general queries, and retrieves up-to-date information from trusted sources.

How we built it

We used RAG with Hugging Face for intelligent responses, BeautifulSoup for web scraping, LangChain for structuring answers, Flask API + Axios for seamless communication, and Claude AI for debugging.

Challenges we ran into

We faced CPU/GPU limitations and OS compatibility issues but solved them using Kaggle’s free GPU resources.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully integrated AI, web scraping, and APIs while ensuring chatbot accuracy with up-to-date medical data.

What we learned

We learned to optimize AI for low-resource environments, improve API integration, and efficiently retrieve external knowledge.
