Inspiration

In today's competitive job market, crafting the perfect resume and tailoring a portfolio for specific roles can be overwhelming and time-consuming for job seekers. We wanted to bridge this gap by creating an accessible tool that leverages Artificial Intelligence to give instant, actionable feedback and professional career guidance to anyone, anywhere.

What it does

AI Career & Portfolio Analyzer is an intelligent web application that allows users to:

• Get an instant, comprehensive review (SWOT analysis) of their resume based on a target job description.
• Automatically generate professional cover letters tailored to specific positions.
• Receive actionable tips to optimize their professional profile.

How we built it

• Frontend & UI: Built using Streamlit (Python framework) for rapid and interactive UI deployment.
• AI Integration: Powered by OpenAI API models to process text and provide structured, expert-level career advice.
• Version Control: Managed via GitHub for easy code sharing and deployment.

Challenges we faced

The biggest challenge was designing clean and structured prompts for the AI to ensure the output remains professional, objective, and neatly formatted regardless of the input length. We solved this by refining our system prompts and utilizing Streamlit's layout components for a seamless user experience.

What we learned

We gained deeper insights into integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into lightweight web applications and learned how to build and ship a functional prototype under tight hackathon deadlines.
