AI Career Guardian

Inspiration

Many young girls in underserved areas don’t have proper career guidance or exposure to modern job opportunities. I wanted to build a tool that empowers them using AI — helping them discover career paths based on their interests and education.

What It Does

AI Career Guardian is a web-based app that:

• Takes input like name, education, interests, and location
• Suggests career paths based on this data
• Provides learning resources and roadmaps
• Recommends remote job portals for freelancing
• Includes an AI chatbot for support and motivation
• Supports local language (e.g., Urdu) for accessibility

How I Built It

I’m building this with the Kiro IDE, using spec-driven development and AI-powered code generation. I defined the app structure and features using natural language prompts inside Kiro, which generated and managed the codebase.

Challenges

• Adapting to Kiro’s AI-driven development workflow
• Designing meaningful, personalized career suggestions
• Simplifying the interface for first-time users
• Making the content localized and culturally relevant
