Inspiration

Many students spend years learning random skills without a clear path to a job. We saw friends and classmates overwhelmed by endless courses, unsure what to learn next, and struggling to build real projects or land internships. This inspired us to build a tool that turns career confusion into a clear, step-by-step journey toward employment.

What it does

AI Career Copilot guides students from interest to job readiness. It analyzes a user’s skills and goals, recommends suitable career paths, generates personalized learning roadmaps, suggests real portfolio projects, and helps them prepare resumes and interviews.

How we built it

We designed a web-based MVP using a modern full-stack setup. AI APIs power career matching, roadmap generation, project suggestions, and interview practice. The frontend focuses on a simple dashboard and guided onboarding to make complex career planning feel easy and actionable.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was translating career guidance into structured, step-by-step outputs instead of generic advice. We also had to balance personalization with simplicity so the product feels helpful without overwhelming users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a working prototype that generates personalized career paths, skill roadmaps, and portfolio project ideas in minutes. We also built a clear user journey that connects learning directly to employability.

What we learned

We learned how important clarity and focus are for students choosing careers. We also gained experience integrating AI into real-world workflows and designing a product around measurable outcomes.

What's next for AI Career Copilot

Next, we plan to add resume and portfolio website generation, expand job and internship matching, and test the product with real students to improve accuracy and usability.
