What's next for AI Career Coach Agent
We were inspired by how many students and professionals struggle to find the right career direction and resources. Traditional counseling is often expensive or generic, so I wanted to build an AI-powered mentor that provides personalized, accessible, and 24/7 career guidance.
The AI Career Coach Agent acts as a virtual mentor. It analyzes a user’s background and skills, identifies career paths, highlights skill gaps, recommends learning resources, generates ATS-friendly resumes, and even conducts mock interviews — all in one platform.
We built the AI Career Coach Agent using LLMs for conversation, resume generation, and interview Q&A. A recommendation system powered by cosine similarity matches user skills with job requirements.
One challenge was ensuring the AI gave specific, actionable advice instead of generic responses. Another was handling API limits and data availability for job and course recommendations. We solved these by refining prompts, using structured templates, and caching results in the database.
We created a working AI-powered career mentor that can guide users with career paths, skill analysis, resume help, and mock interviews. We’re proud of making career guidance more personalized and accessible through AI.
We learned how to combine LLMs with recommender systems to deliver practical career advice. Along the way, we improved our skills in prompt engineering, API integration, full-stack development, and data-driven personalization.
