International students face unique challenges when job hunting — unfamiliar job markets, visa limitations, resume standards, and lack of professional networks. Many feel lost despite being highly skilled. We wanted to create an AI-powered career agent that levels the playing field by offering 24/7 personalized support, tailored specifically to their needs.

AI Career Agent for International Students acts like a virtual career coach, offering:

  • Resume Optimization using AI prompts customized by job role & location
  • Job Matching based on visa-eligible roles and personal skills
  • Mock Interviews with real-time feedback (behavioral & technical)
  • Visa-Friendly Job Alerts filtered by sponsorship availability
  • Career Planning Roadmap aligned with user goals, timelines, and learning needs

🔧 How we built it

Frontend: React.js + Tailwind CSS Backend: Node.js + Express AI Integration: OpenAI GPT-4 + LangChain Agents Database & Auth: Firebase Deployment: Vercel

We used LangChain to structure the AI agent’s tools and memory, enabling dynamic responses and contextual learning across user sessions.
