AI Business OS
AI Business OS is an approval-first operating layer for small business teams. It turns the work hidden across a company inbox and operating documents into a clear daily briefing, reviewable next steps, and accountable execution.
The problem
Small teams lose time moving among inboxes, SOPs, and task lists. Important messages get buried, business context is fragmented, and generic assistants stop at an answer instead of helping work move forward safely.
What we built
AI Business OS connects Gmail and Company Brain context to GPT-5.6. It can:
- synchronize approved Gmail inbox data into a workspace;
- ground AI recommendations in company documents and approved website sources;
- generate evidence-backed daily briefings and priorities;
- draft editable emails and create an approval-gated Review Queue;
- send Gmail emails only after explicit human approval;
- turn AI responses into structured task, meeting, appointment, and note cards;
- record decisions and sends in an audit trail.
How GPT-5.6 is central
GPT-5.6 is the primary reasoning and orchestration engine. It analyzes workspace context, prioritizes what needs attention, creates structured proposals, surfaces uncertainty, and drafts human-reviewable email content. OpenAI remains the default provider; Gemini and Fireworks are optional test providers.
How Codex was used
Codex was the primary implementation collaborator. It helped build the Next.js application, Supabase/Prisma data model, Gmail OAuth and encrypted token handling, provider abstraction, structured AI output safeguards, review queue, Company Brain, task board, and validation workflow.
Safety by design
AI Business OS never sends email automatically. The product separates analysis and drafting from external action: a person reviews, edits, approves, and explicitly sends each email. Gmail tokens are encrypted server-side and actions are logged.
