AI Brainstorming Doc

Inspiration

The inspiration for my Coda AI Brainstorming Doc stemmed from my own need to streamline the brainstorming process and enhance my creativity as an individual. I often found myself generating numerous ideas but struggling to organize and prioritize them effectively. Motivated by this challenge, I set out to develop an innovative solution that leverages artificial intelligence to automate idea generation, organization, and visualization, enabling me to unleash my creative potential.

What it does

The Coda AI Brainstorming Doc changes the way ideas are captured and structured. I can input high-level ideas into the doc and the AI will expand on them by providing detailed product descriptions, pros and cons, and other relevant content. From there the content can be visualized and grouped in different ways to help you prioritize your work. These visualizations help me organize my thoughts, identify patterns, and make informed decisions, ultimately enhancing my brainstorming and idea evaluation process.

How we built it

The tool was built using the AI column in Coda and the robust visualization tools in the platform. The AI column was used to help expand on the ideas written in the doc and the visualization tools let you view and interact with your ideas as a card making it a much simpler process to organize your thinking.

Challenges we ran into

I'd say the biggest challenge I faced was designing an intuitive and flexible interface that accommodates various brainstorming techniques and visualization preferences for all people in the workplace.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I love how simple this tool is to use. I actually used this tool to help identify some of the other docs I built for this competition. It's always amazing to build something and then have it become immediately useful to you.

What we learned

I gained a deep understanding of the complexities involved in developing an AI-powered tool for Coda, including its strengths, weaknesses, and differences compared to other tools like ChatGPT.

What's next for Ai Brainstorming Doc

I'd love to expand the doc to produce full-fledged product plans for the ideas in the document. That way you can go from ideation to production in a matter of hours.
